MF 350 Rear Wheels

Hi I’ve just bought a MF 350 and it’s currently on 16.9/30 rear wheels. It seems too fast in every gear especially reverse. Does anyone know what wheels it would have originally had? Would putting smaller wheels on it slow it down?

I had a new MF350 2wd in 1992, turns out it had German spec gears fitted by mistake. would do nearly 44k on road. Useless in reverse. So went back to dealer and proper gears fitted, 30 k top speed after. Perfect after in high reverse. It was fitted with 12.4r 32 wheels as standard.

Was that a 12-12 shuttle box? Mine is a 1989 8 speed box
