mf 398 batteries

hi can anybody tell me what size or number are the correct batteries for 398, many thanks

Or the biggest that will fit in is my usual plan with batteries!

To be fair the first page I turned up on the parts list showed a pair, I will bow to your superior knowledge if you say 663

Although two batteries may have the same code,and be the same physical size, depending on manufacturer they may not have the same cca or output.

The 663 is longer and higher but the same width.830CCA and 110AH.
The 072 is 600CCA and 70AH. Bit of a difference it would seem.

if you have one battery in the rh step then you can fit a 663, quote that number and it will be right. if you have twin batteries ie one in both steps two 072 would be ok but you can fit two 663

fitted new batteries today, cant remember number, not 663 or 072, i just picked what looked same size as old ones, now 2x 600 cca 6oah, so signifintly more than the 1075cca thats in my 1200
the batteries were excide
