The push button gear stick switch on my 399 to operate the speedshift is knackered. I have spoken to my local MF dealership and they are no longer available.
Has anyone had the same problem and found a replacement switch?
I have looked online at switches but haven't found anything like it

So it needs to latch ? Flick would do same thing could get caught more easily
The original massey one doesn't latch but my guess is that it must keep the circuit, as without the switch in the gear stick 2 of the 3 wires have to be connected together to make the other switch on the rh side of the cab work correctly

No it doesn't latch - it's a momentary change over.

May be an electronic circuit involved (flip/flop). First press flips, second flops i.e. the latching is done on the elecrtronic board (if there is one that is)

Would the switch on the gearstick on some 62 series tractors be the same? or would they be no longer available as well?:scratchhead:

Switchcraft push button switches seem to be the right size however they are all momentary and my money is on latched. Also they look similar to the ones on loader joysicks for the 3rd service.

It's a bugger if massey dealers can't get hold of replacements(n)

Is the swich mechanism jammed? Sometimes you can get switches to work again by jabbing them hard and squirting in wd40 to dislodge any crap in there
