Hi all

my 4355 has a problem with the cab fan.
It works sometimes and not others. Sometimes it's both sides sometimes its just one side of the cab and it varies.
Any ideas folks ?
Big fuse in the roof panel and the relay seem fine

Before we go any further please just list the whole list of issues with this machine.
Fan will be a resistor, speak to dealer for part, will be a wee wire over a green molded plastic plug screwed into cab in series with switch and fan motor.
Next

Ps look out for play in front axle, drive shaft bearing, fuel lift pump contamination, dirty centrifugal filter, door mounts cracking, three point linkages sticking, cracking wheel rims.

All happen with age and use, sorry.

Either you have a power supply issue to the fan pre switch and pre resistor pack, OR you have worn out brushes in the motor.

What causes the 3 point linkage to stick ?

Hi thanks for that I will try a resistor first.

No other issues that I've found so far , only had it a few weeks so working through it in the evenings , I'm sure there will be new things at some point but everything else seems good

It's most likely the relay with it working and then not altogether. Have you actually checked voltage coming from it? Also make sure the fans aren't binding - if aftermarkets were ever installed they'll rub, cause high amp load and fry the relay...

As for the other 4200/4300 issues - don't know - haven't put over 4000hrs on any to see how they do with really high hrs. I know the hydro clutch versions are very sensitive to trans maintenance and fluid quality... Really great tractors otherwise...
