The right brake pedal on our MF 550 doesn't spring back up again after using it. Any suggestions on a spring needing changed or what it would be. The left brake pedal comes up again once I take my foot of the clutch. Its a bit annoying scraping the slats and having to manually lift the pedal each time with my foot once I've stopped.

AFAIK, the clutch and brake pedals run on the same cross shaft. You'll need to get in there and get penetrating oil or the like onto the shaft where the pedals are mounted. There are bushes where the three pedals slide onto the shaft. There is also a grease nipple connected to a pipe that goes to the brake pedal bushes.(or there should be). The bushes are likely dry and worn. Should also be springs on the clevis's on the ends of the rods that come from the pedals.

Connect both pedals together again (y)

Look under the trumpet housing, on the end of the rod that works the brakes there should be a return spring. One end is attached to the rod, the other to a small bracket bolted to the trumpet. If the left pedal returns then probably it is still in place that side. Get someone to work the pedal while you look under if you are not sure where to work.

If the spring is stretched or missing it is part no 642587M2, £8.36 from your MF dealer.
