MF 590 Hydraulic problem

From a non forum member, can anyone help please?


I have a MF 590 that has recently had a new hydraulic pump and IPTO clutch pack fitted. It has worked fine for two months but has now started to drop the lift arms when revving. At idle they work and hold up when switched off. The pressure at idle is 2500PSI but drops when revved to zero. Have checked standpipe o rings. Has anyone ever had this problem or know anything else to check?

yes your filter is blocked. not enough oil can get thro it at high revs so a vacuum is created in the response chamber which pulls the control valve into lower

I too would say the filter was blocked. However one would imagine it was clean / cleaned when the pump was fitted??
So,,,, why is it blocked now??

That will be the filter accessed through the plate held by three bolts under the belly of the gearbox. To access, the oil needs to be drained first.

Could be why the old pump died
But thought any one fitting a knew pump would of checked filters

Considering the pump was fitted 2 mths ago,anything could have blocked the filter since.............

There are different opinions on the filter, some people say just wash them, but I never have success with that
I just change them
