MF 6180 Blowing water out

There was something to do with dissimilar materials on some part of the block (may be thermostat but can't remember) anyway if engine was working hard and not cooled for long enough would spew water out as the part cooled at different rate to surroundings. once everything was cool seal was remade and everything good. Had this with a 1100 series perkins in a 6265.

Is she runnin bit warm when workin hard

Not sure as the temp gauge seems to have packed up. going to order a new sensor and a new rad cap. I have put an infra red hear detector gun over the engine and seems to be around 77 - 80 degrees. according to workshop manual cap should release at 82 degrees.

Anyone recommended a good product for cleaning cooling system?

Radiator blocked in the corners? Fan drive slipping? Impeller fell off the water pump shaft inside? You can get a 'sniff tester' in any motor factor, to check radiator for engine fumes.

Cooling system shouldnt need cleaned if you fitted new rad year ago

My 6180 has started blowing water out of radiator vent when it comes off full power.
Head gasket?
Does it have a viscous fan coupling. It may be over heating if has lost its ability to adjust to the increase in heat from rad plus less revs from lower engine speed - equals increase in pressure ? or other wise rad cap as already mentioned

ours generally has 1-1.5 inches of spare room in the rad, if I fill it it overflows never bothered me much but when silage is over or in between cuts when it is doing lighter work for a while I top it up with antifreeze
