MF 6180 datatronic box

Probably a David King job but the datatronic box ( under the cab offside ) does not switch off when turning the tractor off and so runs the battery down. Pull the fuse out on the yellow wire at the front and the lights go out and box shuts down - so we have rigged up an inline switch which is fine until you forget to turn off !!!!! All connectors have been cleaned and sprayed and no warning lights on the dash - earths ok etc etc - any thoughts please ?

That's the autotronic box your describing.
There is a couple of reasons it's not shutting down

1. The low pressure switch is maintaining a signal to the box due to oil pressure being held in the low circuit

2. A faulty low pressure switch or the wiring connecting onto it is contacting together keeping the signal

It’s because it has red paint on the bonnet..

It could be the clutch switch sticking in, this wakes the autotronic computer up.
