MF 6290 problem?

When I start my 6290 up, the “A” and “D” range selector lights come on together, and the range selector then does not work. I think it is Just stuck in “A”. Can someone suggest what the problem is, thanks .

if its cold its the temperature sensor stopping the transmission let it warm up should go after 15 mins running

Sounds like to temperature sensor takes a fair while to go. Is a little annoying when you get up and start spreading on a frost

Thanks again @masseybreaker and @tr250, as what you have both suggested seems to get the transmission working again,long may it continue to solve the problem.
