you could put a pressure switch in the hydraulic circuit, so that when little pressure, it switches for you?

Its how i get a signal from the Vicon open / close ram

Have you got a 7-pin signal socket in the cab? Not all pins are always populated, but for reference:

Pin 4 is linkage position in or out of work - binary, either 12v or 0v.

Pin 5 is analog, voltage anywhere between 0v and 10v depending on linkage position.

Have you got a round 16-position socket on right hand side of the cab, near power socket?

Think you can get implement position from one of the pins on it, thread somewhere on here about it.

Can you put a multimeter (reading DC volts) on pins 8 (linkage position) and pin 2 (ground) and then operate linkage to see what is returned?

I've tried them all and not getting a reading on any !!

OK (thinking) what pins are presented on the socket?

For example - ground speed/PTO rpm signal may not be present (would need to be activated with the resistor and wire from dash). In any case they won't present a signal/pulse unless tractor is moving or PTO is turning.

On then other hand the diagnostic pins for CAN_H (pin 14) and CAN_L (pin 16) should present a small voltage of about 2.55v and 2.45v with respect to ground, when ignition is on.

Pin 1 should have battery voltage 12v present...

Easy option was too use unused side of trigger switch on top link for drill!!
