MF 6490 Query

Hi-hope some MF experts can help on this one. Have recently bought KV i plough which I will be pulling with my old faithful MF6490. The plough is run through a Tellus Pro box via the isobus cable. However, the box needs to know wether the plough is up on the linkage or down. I've been told that most modern tractors have a work switch somewhere that will send this signal to the box via the relevant cable. Needless to say, no-one seems to know if my tractor has the relevant plug, and if so, where it is. Anyone throw any light?

As @davidroberts30 suggests, next to the power socket in the corner of the cab. Multi pin plug, ask main dealer which wire is which when you buy the cable

Is that the one between the power outlet and cigarette lighter? always thought that one where the dealer plugged laptop in for fault diagnosis Any idea the best place for the right cable?

Your Massey dealer.
You may need some codes to enable/access the correct signal.

It's a diagnostic socket, for a variety of uses. Speak to your dealer

Not 100% but i do not think that can be done on a 6490 , it can on a 76 with a new bit of wiring loom , we tried to do that on a 6480 & it would not work & the dealer could not making it work .

Not unless it has the j1939 iso plug . You can tap into linkage switch and run relays or use a micro switch externally
