Some background!
Thanks for all that folks, unfortunately have run into few problems with the 6270, it has run the roll pins in the backend holding a shaft joint. Fixed this easy enough through side but has happened a second time within a week. Have discovered play in bearings leading to crown and pinion which involves a much bigger strip. The brakes also need done and handbrake is at limit as well. All in all quite alot of work and money involved to put all right. Too much. As I've only just bought the tractor and have kept the guy I bought it off in the loop without losing the head over it, he seems to be agreeable to take tractor back and maybe do a deal on another 6280 he has at min. He also has a 6180 but am reluctant to go back too many years and believe they can be hit and miss.
Any advice on the 6280s would be appreciated, this has been a learning experience to say the least!
My mechanic who worked on the 6270 has advised to stay away from ccls models!
