Mf error code T246

Leading muck with my 6480 this afternoon. I pulled out of a junction with a load of muck on, accelerated and changed up from 3c up the gears but as I changed into 4th range the 4 light on the gear read out flashed and both screens chucked up the code t246. I still had drive but couldn't change gear. I stopped the tractor, restarted it and it went no bother for the rest of the afternoon. Any idea on this one Ladies and Gents?

o dear that sounds expensive !!!!!!! dont worry about it unless it does it again it hopefully will be a sensor thats feeling a bit sad

Shouldn’t worry, I had trouble with a solenoid on the gear box not working which made sensors pop warnings up.

Speed sensor or check the plug that goes in to the engine fan as this is all linked in, was forward to rev ok

Yep forward to rev was fine. Il check them cheers.

I’m pretty sure I had that code on a 6480 once, symptoms sound the same it was a bad connection on one of the solenoids on the gearbox.

Are they easy to get at (the solenoids?)

Yeah not too bad they’re on the right hand side of the gearbox.

Ahh right thanks for the advice I shall give that a try
