MF FE35 4 cylinder diesel.

I have just about completed the tidying up of "Dolly" my FE35 with a single clutch.

I would like to use it with a 5ft flail mower to keep the retrieving lanes trimmed.in the field so no great amount of work but would like suggestions on a suitable flail mower.

Will that tractor have a pto overrun clutch built in, or ull want one on the pto shaft .

think a flail mower will just be no good at all on a single clutch tractor,

@tomlad not to my knowledge . Can you explain please as I have not used "Dolly" yet so just learning all the FE35 quirks

Overrun clutch / coupling allows drive in one direction only, tractor- implement.
Implement- tractor it will slip , click .
Things like a woid chipper, bailer that have big flywheels need / should have the overrun , so ' the trail doesn't wag the dog '
Ur driving up to hedge , dyke , depress transmition clutch , implement now powers the tractor gear box and pushes whatever gear ur in .....
Easy to buy a pto shaft with it fitted to one end ( what i did ) or buy it seperate to fit inline , but thats made shaft longer by 6" or10 " , might b less important on a flail but more so on a rotary, slasher.
Ive never driven one without . But ive heard the stories

I bought a shaft with over run one end and shear bolt tuther for my chipper, never had any bother, never sheared a bolt either even tho ive plugged it a few times and honestly think it should have gone .

In my mind a flail mower is like a hedge flail , for rough stuff and a rotary slasher , bush hog is like a conventional mower ???
