I’d go with a good set of pullers and warm the boss with the Oxy/acetylene

There is one like that on the inside of my 34 clean grain elevator that drives through to the outside and the only way we could get that off was to take the elevator off and heat up and pull. Needed a bit of work on the top anyway so wasn’t bother but rather tight

Get the key out.
Find a bit of tube which goes over the shaft nicely, weld a big nut on one end of the tube (should get M20 at least) then weld the pipe to the pulley centre.
You can then screw a bolt in which will pull it off easily. An impact gun will help immensely. You could use two nuts if you weld them together.
If the key won't come out, it'll probably come with it still there.
When refitting, just cut pipe off, tidy up, paint red, never know it's been done.

You will probably not pull it off with traditional pullers as the pulley will flex too much losing the power of the pull.

That sounds a brilliant tricK never come across it before. I too am a great fan of impact guns as well

We have pullers that are 2 halves, I think they were just the right size for a pulley similar to that.
Went behind it but pulled on the solid bit in the centre

Failing that, do you want to buy my 29, 14ft header just finished this year's harvest
