Mf35 4 cylinder fuel filter housing leaking at banjos

Has anyone came across fuel filter housing leaking at the copper washers beside the banjos. I put new copper washers but diesel just runs out after doing a complete rebuild
There must need to be a certain size of washer or the correct washers must seat into the housing.
I'm sure others have came across a similar problem

You may have a rough surface or some dirt on the mating surface. Remove bolts, clean everything spotless, re assemble loosely with NEW washers and use air line to blow right around the joint and between all the 4 mating surfaces. Last resort is clean with brake cleaner and spot of locktite on the threads aswell

It's probably not right but I sometimes use the hard red fibre washers instead. They bed in better.

Often the surfaces of the banjos have been distorted by previous over tightening.

Yes have just heard about these today.
Recon the copper washers I used were to thick and couldn't bed in right.
Some ordered today, hopefully cure the problem
