MF675 - 4WD issue

Hello.
I've just got this 1984 model MF675, with 4wd. Looking at the usermanual, there should be a button on the right side of the wheel to activate the frontwheels (see attached picture).
Mine doesnt have this, so my question is if anybody know where the wiring of this disappeared solenoid goes. So I can try this locate what's missing, and where. Thanks

Switch on dash was later ones with electro/hydraulic engagement. Early ones had a knob connected to a spool on the lefthand side of the seat

Left hand back corner in the cab spool is straight down from the rod working it

We had a 698 4wd, that's where the 4wd engagement knob was on ours.
