Mig welder not working

The wire isn't shooting out so I took the handle apart and discovered a loose wire bit I can't figure out where it was attached. Any ideas? Or is the micro switch knackered?

With the welder plugged out tape the switch closed, see if it now works?
If not put this link in again with the welder plugged out.
Loose wire goes to the welding head ?

Did you strip the insulation off the blue wire, if so it may well go into the hole?

When you press the switch you disconnect the red wire (middle terminal on the switch) from the terminal with the hole (possibly blue wire) and connect the red wire to the brown terminal.

I tried a few different things and nothing worked so I've just checked and theres no power going to any of the wires, so it looks like the problem is at the other end of the circuit

Mistake I made in my last post, no brown wire, I meant white wire, sorry about that.

Depending on the welder, some had a fuse on the low voltage supply to the torch handle? It was on a small board in the main welder body.

Cracked it open today and I couldn't see anything that was amiss so I'm going to have a professional look at it. Thanks for the advice guys (y)
still think you should try another torch first unless i'm missing something. Had a problem with mine a while back, thought it was a circuit board or wire drive motor, tried another torch, worked perfectly, new torch, £30 fix, simples!
Lets you know whether you need a professional look at the box.
