our new (to us) milk silo is an animal
what temp do most have it go down to
ours takes it to 3.2 before cuttting out then starts up again at 4
it is down to around 4 by the end of milking but takes another 15 mins to get it to 3.2
is it necessary to take it down to 3.2 is 4 cold enough
with the new plate cooler that takes borehole water and ice water it goes in at 9.8

either 22 or 24 thousand litres not too sure
i cant remember what jon paid for it but it has cost more than we first thought to install as being stood up for five years things were either ceased up or just not working
it is a crown silo which is kiwi made i think, it came from the buccluech estate in scotland and there arent many more in the country , our fridge bloke said it has the largest dimple plate area he has seen on a silo and is really impressed with the performance

Sometime ago the tanker driver would litter drop his route tickets, being vaguely nosy I would have a look. Most temps were nearer 3 than 4, so I pushed mine up to boost the average to nearer 4:whistle:

got some finishing off to do around front console but other than that she is away and working a treat
had high bacto this morning so am going to laminate a sampling procedure sheet for the drivers ,so they dont take it out of the tap at the bottom where the milk lies and doesnt get stirred
although saying that the fats were 4.35 and protein was 3.57 so it cant have been taken out of the filling tap else they would be a lot lower hmmmmmmm
