Has anyone ever had one rejected for being over 15% protein?

14.2% Protein rejection last year @ Whitworths, Peterborough, still went for milling but got a redirect penalty

We used 120kg/ha nitrogen overall, with half drilled end oct,start Nov and the other half drilled first week of February.

The whole farm average was 3.75t acre sold, so not too bad?

That’s the big question.

I’d guess they will stay high as long as wheat is the fert price does/has.

But like lots of farming at the moment it’s all a gamble….often with the odds stacked against us.

They're probably not. Whereabouts are you though? Big geographical differences in end user pricing.

Hi just curious in what form that 120kg was applied? Our proteins were not great this year. Zyatt seemed to perform better than the others 12.5-13% 300kgN.

That's not going to happen and nor is a cut in the 13% protein for milling. Both these, ergot and anything else you can think of is used to knock the price and divert increased profits to the buyer.
