In my industry in the building sites it's zero tolerance to using phones if your plant driver or labourer

Had that policy on the oil refinery and gas terminal jobs ,no phones allowed on site ,,,More to do with risk of being an ignition point

Don't forget that people walking about the workplace using a mobile phone are just as big a danger as drivers as they're not concentrating on where they are walking or what's happening around them. How many people trip over because they're looking at the phone, not where they're going.

See many farm contractors on the phone while there driving, suppose they have to in order to run there business if trying to arrange which silage jobs to go chop next
