Mobile Sheep Shower

Horrible things. They don't prevent scab and the fumes are really bad for who ever has to drive the sheep out after spraying.

First post here:) Is it that the sheep dont be left long enough in these showers to prevent scab? As in they only get a quick run through to keep things moving?

Does anyone knows of a mobile sheep shower unit please? I am working on a sheep scab study and need to use the shower as a method for applying a product. I really need to hire one out so if anyone does know of someone that does this that would be great, thank you!

fk me, sheep showering was the first thing to cure my sheep scab. dip topped up every 30 or so sheep, in or 4 minutes, batches of 8-9 at a time in a monsoon shower. never dipping again

Sure it wasn't mites?

was told scab, didnt think o anything else, dectomax sort of hampered it, one years dipping done nothing next years slowed it and all the time we worked dectomax or normectin injection. thought showering cant be any worse than dipping and never had it since.

might be mit dont know but dont have it now. man got lent of tup and it returned naked and bare, surprised it lived to be honest.

Dectomax iirc does not kill mites.

You either do them all with Crovect in a concentrated line down the spine from neck to tail or dip.

we used that stuff too for lambs and some ewes earlier one year, didnt make a difference, dont remember the name but results werent good so dipped then ended up sheep shower. local man had mites last year, dipped al his this year in his own dipper, had the loan of my teaser but never seen my teaser scratching before or after coming back from him.
