Modem going off

Hi,recently changed Broadband/line rental provider to ee.This entailed installing their modem. As time has gone by the modem, with increasing frequency is going offline, this means having to switch the modem off and back on again to get back online. This usually happens in the evening, used to be occasionally but has done it twice tonight.
I'm not very technical, so apologies, but is there a simple remedy for this ? Thanks.

I had this but notwhen I changed provider. Had a steady connection for a few years and all of a sudden had to keep redooting the router to reconnect. Had bt out twice, bought a new Adsl router as well a trying an older working one and both did the same.

My chap told me to try a draytek router and although I was doubtful, he was bang on. Apparently they can hold on to a dodgy line better than anything else on the market.

As mentioned by @milkloss , a Draytek router may well be a very good investment. When I first had broadband I used the supplied BT hub. No end of disconnects and reboots. Got a Draytek and it was a revelation not having to worry about the broadband dropping out several times a day.
That was nearly 10 years ago and I've used Draytek ever since. Only needed to replace it when I went from ADSL to VDSL.
