Got a field I want to mole and sow overwinter cover crop in. Not yet cleared, should I drill the cover and worry about the moling later or get on with the moling first?

Agree. We've been doing a bit lately with a 4WD tractor, which isn't ideal as wheels are getting a bit of slip, which would effectively hoe any chitted cover crop. So I'd mole first, drill second and that'll close the mole slot best.In an ideal world you want to lightly cultivate or roll after moling to close the slot left by the bald. If this is not done then there is chance that during rain, you can get enough water down the slot to collapse the roof of the mole channel.
I have done a lot of milking through growing crops and many people still do in the spring.
I would say that you should crack on with the moling and drill ASAP after. And then if required roll it.
