Doc insisted that my father had a sick note after his heart attack so claimed and got a couple or three hundred quid back - then when the powers that be realised he was part of a family partnership and the farm didn’t fold ‘cos the other members of the partnership put in the extra hours they wanted every last penny back.
the joy of being self employed ,one has to know the rules and how to use them rule number one don't be self employed rule two live in a council house, after that im lost you see i have always been self employed and never drawn benefits but i know one or two that draw benefits and ride on a potato harvester for a ""hobby"" ;)

There is a different between being unemployed through a genuine lack of work and being unemployed because you dont want to work.

It interests me sometimes. They interview someone from these former industrial areas: 'this place is dead, no decent housing, bad schools, no infrastructure, no work...' Terrible, I agree.

Ok, so why not move someplace else to find work??

'Oh no I could never leave..'

Oh, so its the governments fault legions of companies dont exist and locate here for the sole reason of providing work hundreds of miles from other business infrastructure or the ports??

I know where your coming from with this.
Had people from my area done this the Northeast would be a wilderness.
Most villages gone when mines closed. Consett and Redcar (twice) steel works . Newcastle and Sunderland ship building and docks .
Shildon birth place of the railways.
The list could go on .

Is its MPG worse than it was before hand?
does it run smoothly still?
Ever had EGR issues? you might be much sooner because of the Fix
the list go's on & on

I haven't noticed any changes from before and after the software update. MPG is the same, drives exactly the same. Never had any issues at all with it, its only done just over 40k miles mind.....
