There are just over 80,000 tractors licensed in the Republic of Ireland, but what is the most popular brand in your county?

Figures from the Department of Transport show that the Massey Ferguson brand is the most popular in the country, with 18,021 tractors licensed.

Massey Ferguson is most common along the west cost and in the midlands.

Next up is John Deere, with 11,821 tractors licensed in Ireland. These are most popular along the east coast and in Limerick.

The remaining tractors dominating the most popular tractors by county were New Holland and Case/David Brown.

It’s probably not really a fair statistic.
As above there will be maybe 5 135’s (many of which may not even be in use) for every tractor under 5 yrs old.

Bit like kubota produce the most tractors but most are lawnmowers.

I’m in Cork but travel a fair bit of the south eastern quarter and New Holland looks to have the lions share of modern tractors with Deere maybe in second place. After that I’d have Massey in there.
A huge proportion of the country would be grass land which is where you’ll find a lot of the older Massey’s - 300 series and the like.

Just my gut feel of things and areas will vary a lot depending on the strength of a dealership.
