saddles are standard KV number 8 fittings if that helps
Think that's for the 25's Roy. Correct me if I'm wrong but super Hydreins are different, depending on which boards Eamon has on loan.

My super hydrein frogs have two sets of holes in, the previous owner used both types of board, and drilled them to suit.Think that's for the 25's Roy. Correct me if I'm wrong but super Hydreins are different, depending on which boards Eamon has on loan.
Not giving up are you? I was hoping you (and a few more) would be at Lichfield!I have a nice 2 furrow KV match plough on super hydreins for sale

Correct, I was forgetting that some prefer super hydreins, I think they will bolt to a standard hydrein frog though ?Think that's for the 25's Roy. Correct me if I'm wrong but super Hydreins are different, depending on which boards Eamon has on loan.
I may have had an odd frog, but I did have to make one new hole to fit the hydrein special board to it. I use the word make, as no drill I had would touch the job! Ended up blowing a hole with a plasma cutter! Nice thick washer covers the sins though!Correct, I was forgetting that some prefer super hydreins, I think they will bolt to a standard hydrein frog though ?

I had thought of the masonry drill, but decided against it as the farm grindstone wouldnt touch a carbide turning tool, and its not my grinder! Washer will get welded in, next time the plough is repainted, its position is such that the body will have to be removed before I can see it, let alone get a rod there.Sharpen a masonry bit up as an ordinary twist drill.
If that still won't do it then weld a piece of EN8 round bar into a bigger hole and then drill that.
Ransomes TS59 frames are hard to drill but I think that's more to do with what they are made of, having pockets of carbon, usually toward one face. which indicates to me that they were made from scrap, the carbon settling at a specific level.
David Brown lift arms can be exceptionally hard.
Blowing holes and big washers - gobsmacked. Hope you had good manners enough to weld the washer in place.
