muck grabs

I'm a bit fed up with using the bucket to clean out fairly dry fresh loosebox muck. What would be better a proper muck grab or a bucket grab?

There's a tidy 1.9m alo muck grab coming up for auction soon what are they like?

Muck grab every time for me. Father in law uses a bucket when I've helped him out it made me realise the massive difference with a grab.

Once you've used a muck grab for straw court dung, using a bucket will seem like a teaspoon!

The alo grabs are well made, and have close tine spacing which can be useful for wetter short straw dung. The only thing I dislike about them is the grab rams are on top and are therefore more susceptible to accidental damage. However that's just me.

I've never used a bucket grab. It looks a bit of a compromise, and unless you're handling short fluffy stuff like chopped maize, I'd think using a tool designed for the job would be better. Best to hear from someone with one though.

Yea we use a bucket with a grab on it far better than a tined grab we find. it will grab more yard muck than a TM 310 can lift and the wetter sloppy stuff gets cleared up as you go rather than swapping attachments

I have an ALO bucket grab , no more tightening loose tines or worse still a loose one digging into the stone floor , all the muck ends up in the trailer not tracked into the yard between shed and trailer , loading muck from heaps in field leaves the fields nice and smooth when finished . Can't see why you would get any less in a bucket grab than a normal grab , only time a tine grab is better is for clearing up brash after bowing trees or laying hedges etc , which is the only time I may put the old muck grab on

Agree that a grab would carry more than a bucket but I have both but always use the bucket even for the sheep sheds! It is a 7.5ft bucket and holds more than enough weight and breaks the muck up more. I push up once fold that on top then push again so you get a double layer ! Simple! Merlo 40.7 behind the bucket so plenty of push to rip the muck even with bucket with full sides
