Fears for dairy farming future after creamery closure

Kintyre farmers have launched a bid to buy Campbeltown Creamery from dairy co-op First Milk.

I see it is being reported that First Milk are closing the facility at Campbelton.
What are you guys planning?
I presume First Milk will continue transporting your milk to somewhere?

On a slightly disappointing note I was just thinking about a holiday I had in Austria in an area called Kaiserwinkl https://www.kaiserwinkl.com/en/culinary-delights-in-the-kaiserwinkl.html,
Where as the link will show there were 6 cheese producing dairies within a 20 minute drive of the village of Kossen.
Hope something positive comes of your crowdfunding route.

First milk have said that for the producers it will be business as usual for the foreseeable future. We can't do much more than take them at their word for now.
Maybe once the dust has settled, who knows what may happen.

Buyout is a no go, funding it was just about totally sorted. Crowdfunder people want to let it run its course, but it will be returned when it closes.
