Got a problem with the Multidrive I operate, when I put it in delayed 4ws in the field it’s started creeping one way so eventually I’m going down the field at 15 degrees to the tramline. Any ideas? Thinking maybe something to do with potentiometer but not sure.

thanks

Just watch when adjusting the potentiometer always switch off the engine they can be lethal

Don’t think I ever used mine in delay mode, but the steering system did give bother on many occasions.

As said, DO NOT fiddle about with anything whilst the engine is running.

Sorry, can’t be any help except to say I think there are a couple of ex Multistrife employees that have set up on their own. I think they trade as Multispares

It could be the sensors on top of the king pins, they don't normally creep they normally don't line up when you bring it back to centre. A lad got crushed messing with those sensors with the engine on so turn her off to play with it. Steering and the cab are the two downsides to the multidrive, apart from that there a lovely truck.

Try checking the plugs on the potentiometer cable once had trouble with them, used to go over a bump on the road and it would go full lock left to right on the back axle, it was a loose cable in the potentiometer cable plug on the front axle There is a recalibration procedure but youll need someone up to date with them, Good luck,
try these http://multispares.co.uk/

That’s exactly what happened, driving back to tanker down a track and it suddenly went in full lock on back wheels, after that is when the problem came

Hi Just seen this.
Had one of my machines randomly go into full lock and it was the electro hydraulicvalve that was faulty. It is situated on the cross member half way down the chassis next to the PTO valve.
As has already been said, please do not fiddle with anything if you are near the wheels.... especially if it has a mind of its own!
Have you got a steering calibration box in your machine? @woodylane

Hi, yes we tried the calibration this morning but we couldn’t get any power to the calibration box and their are no lights on the control unit under the right hand console. My colleague is in touch with someone and we’re hoping to find a solution.

It is, The Cornish Magician, Mavis Dave, he goes by many names here.

Very well thank you. Pleasantly surprised at how lively and manoeuvrable it is and it also travels very well on soft land.

if you could pm me his phone number Pete that would be brilliant, Neil who I work with has told me about the wizard that is Cornish Dave and how he’s been searching for his phone number for years:LOL:
