My Classic Collection

I've been meaning to post on the classic area since I joined the forum but I never get around to it.
All my machines and implements are "classics" from my pickups to tractors, combine, disk, drill and ect. I can't afford anything newer and the old stuff works just fine.

I have a
1955 Farmall 400 that I painted up to look new, I use it for all my main farm work.

Massey Ferguson 35 that I use for mowing and other 3-pt equipment, I am going to tare it down and repaint it this summer.

Kubota L2000 compact (20hp), I use it about the most with the loader, I also use it for all my gardening and tilling.

Bolens Iseki G152 (15hp) getting ready to put on a loader and backhoe.

Mobility Big Dipper, it's a really handy machine but it's a lot like a forklift and doesn't do good in wet weather. It is my heavy lifter (lifts 2000lbs), it's super easy to get around with it and I couldn't get along without it.

1959 John Deere 95 combine, it sat for 20+ years in a shed before I bought it, I had it running within a day and it cuts great!. I went through the whole thing last summer and gave it a good cleaning followed up with a nice coat of paint. Needless to say it's the talk of the town when I head out to cut wheat with it.
(first picture is when I first bought it and I'm taking it home)
(and 1981 Chevy C30 pickup with a 292 inline 6 engine, extended frame with a 10' bed on it)

Gravely Custom Convertible 7.6hp with sickle mower, rotary plow, 36" rotary mower, rotary cultivator(rototiller), cultivators, plow, hiller, sulky and some more that I can't think of.

The old 400 has gone to pieces, the clutch was starting to slip pretty good so I tore the old thing down the other day. I got the clutch out and now waiting for parts. While I was at it, I went ahead pulled apart the brakes, they are in really sorry shape. I am going to put a loader on this tractor once I get the clutch and brakes sorted. I'm also going to add power before the loader.

Those hydraulic lines are a bitch aren't they? We usually cut them and put in a connection. You are more of a man than me, concrete makes putting it back together so much easier.

Where did you get the A-frame that you pulled the combine with?

When I imagine rural America , it looks like your farm, even down to the mailbox on the side of the road.
Thanks for the pics, really enjoyed them.

Sadly enough there's not many farms around here like mine. Everyone has big huge new machinery, the only farmer around that still uses a old tractor is a old family friend, he still runs his Farmall Super MTA for moving a little bit of hay and straw.

I wish I had concrete in the shop but I can't complain because I just got a shop set up a couple months ago so working out of the weather is really nice.

I hauled the combine on a old swather trailer that I borrowed from a friend, he uses the trailer to haul his really wide old Farmall F14.

interesting photos , good to see older machines still working across the pond.... why is the radiator blanked off on the MF 35 surely this would cause overheating when the tractor is ploughing

That is a A/C filter, I was doing a bunch of mowing with the tractor in tall grass/weeds and the radiator kept plugging up. I strapped on a A/C filter to keep all the seeds and gunk out. It works good and the tractor doesn't run any hotter then normal.

Add another one to the "collection", was at a auction this morning and I picked up a Oliver 7300 combine. It was used to cut 300 acres of soy beans last year. Has a 15ft header, real nice tires all the way around and it's not even rusted out. I paid $300, I couldn't pass that up. I'm going to clean it up and resell it, hoping it'll fetch a pretty decent price

I do not know what the correct color is? the guy I bought this from painted it a primer red and grey. I'm going to strip it down and paint it the way it should be before I sell it.
