N Sensor servicing cost

I have just been qouted £565 to service an old style blue n sensor, which I think is totally taking the p. Do they actually need servicing, and does anyone know if it can be done for a reasonable price? We have had it for three seasons and the first service was in with the purchase price, and havent had it done since then.

i believe part of 565 is the annual unlock code. No code no work

I can get around the unlock easily as it is only based on date, what I am unsure of is the need to service the unit itself. Is this just a way of milking there clients or is it necessary.

Hi the service is important as not only do we make sure everything is working as it should be but also the sensor is recalibrated so you know the readings are very accurate, if you need more info them PM me thanks Simon
