What cracking beasts, a real credit to the breed and your farming. Is it not wet with you, I thought they'd be heading inside
Thanks, they have done well, we are very light land so they’ve had a hard summer really, we burnt up when they should of been starting to eat grass but seem to of managed well considering!! They’ll be coming off the cow in next week or so and then to market at end of November, cows stay out all winter on kale an straw, that’s the upside of the light ground, couldn’t do that with limo’s could you

What's the breeding of them? I have six Original Population in-calf heifers heading up from Kent very soon.
The cows are a mix of Romany and Hanson from Yorkshire. Don't have exactly what it is just now but just taking what's given from the father in law!

Whats the pkan with yours? When are they due to calve?

I want to start a small herd of the OP type, run alongside some commercial sucklers and grazed rotationally/regeneratively/mob stylee! The heifers are from the Boresisle herd, probably the biggest in the country. Due to calve March but I plan to calve May/June in future. Should be here in a week or two. Don't think I'll need much encouragement to post pics 😁

Sounds ideal. You going to run the sheep and cows together? Will need a couple of photos to see what the difference is etc.
