Need a new phone ??

Just a little mention for my new phone.
Having had a Samsung Galaxy Note 1 for 5 yrs (and it was second hand too ), I was always being annoyed by the slowness of mine ,lack of memory (it had been wiped too 12 months ago )etc.
Was watching ideal world shopping channel one day by accident , and saw the STK LIFE 7 4G phone being advertised . 80 inc vat and a powerbank included too ,and a siicone type case .
Buy it and send it back if you dont like it !

I mocked it as I watched and then a bit later googled the phone . British designed and made in China ?? The previous firms incarnation had made the Wileyfox ,which my son still has , and he loves it !! Similar phone apparently. Android Nougat platform.

Ordered , received ,and cant believe how much I like it . £64 after I get the vat back .
Whats not to like ?? If you are tight like me and dont need an £800 this or that , on a £40 a month contract etc (mines a £13 sim only ) it a no brainer :)

Theres being tight and then theres having your sphincter stapled shut !!!;)
In seriousness , we have a very good broadband connection and use the O2 business Boostbox to fire a 3 g signal around the farm buildings !! Full service through the net !!
But if you cant get a 3g signal and your reception is pants , an old steam powered handset is the way to go  ie an old Nokia
And if you are searching for battery life , the stk runs to about a half or 2/3rds batt in 24hrs after a full charge . If you forget to charge it ,take the powerbank with you(sometimes included but not always ) and plug it into that to recharge

I'm on a Huawei P10 Lite at the moment (cost about £150), I'm not normally into the whole grabbing the newest phone, but I am seriously tempted by the new P20 as the dual camera takes very good pictures. Unfortunately I can't justify it when my current phone works so well!

I had Samsung's here for 12-14 years, actually really like the phones but hated the Samsung software and howuch it junked up the phone.

Switched to Motorola 3 years ago, think they are brilliant. My only mistake with my MotoG 3rd Gen was I (unknowingly - because the guy in the shop never gave me the option!) got the 8gb version. Even with a SD card memory wasn't great. If it had been a 16gb I'd still use it today - I'm on the MotoG 5th Gen now, very good phone but I think the 3rd Gen was possibly better (felt more robust).

Haven't heard of the phone in the OP, but I'd advise everyone to ditch the 'big 2' (Samsung and Apple) and go to any other brand who all use the most recent version of Android with no catches or other shyte which bogs down your phone

No TFF! What were you texting by the way? "Just a nice person and very hot??"
Too much of a good thing. better only getting tff when you sit down for a brew and not stopping all the time to read and reply to messages.
Lodger couldn't cope without the web, so got a wifi thingy that runs off a sim card, got an Amazon fire.
@dstudent was trying to get me a wife.

My Alcatel dimphone - 3 whole G, buttons you click with yer thumbs, camera solo, and everything :) - is showing its age, alas.

I'm looking for a small smartphone as a replacement, but from where? :(

They're all from 5" upwards which guarantees being dropped and/or falling out of pocket in no time.
There are old/obsolete/refurbished small phones for sale, but I've been told they're unreliable.
o_O

All advice gratefully rec'd .
