Nell likes fritters

Once a week I cook fritters which are thin sliced potatoes covered in batter which is made from self raising flour milk and egg .. the flour costs
45p from Lidl so it is very cheap dinner also my dog likes them very much but is there something in potato or batter that will do her harm

doubt it, back in the old days when we grew tatties, we used to feed the farm dogs boiled tatties and porridge every day, they always lived to a ripe old age

We've always given our house dogs left over taties with no ill effects.

Mrs YB doesn't eat her fish skin, when we have fish and chips, she gives it to the dog - so I'm guessing batter is OK too.

Dogs have evolved with us, and so can digest starches the same as we can.

Cooking and cooling before the dog dives in makes sense. The late Collie was partial to scraps from a fish supper.

Nice , I remember when we could get them for 5 p from local chippy 40 years ago now think there a pound lol .
