Good luck on Wednesday! One day it will all pay off and if you're really lucky one day you could buy a clinker of a tractor like the one you saw on Saturday!
That tractor was a gem.

Oh no!!
When i spoke to him a month ago he was looking at 8000l average. I said the problem with that is with a robot there will be plenty of 10k plus cows in that average and then you need to work out how to feed those high yields on a lower input system and getting those cows to eat the volume of grass required is what can cause problems like DA's ect. I doubt wether he would have found better value for money than some dutch heifers as long as he went for a sturdy cow, maybe even a fleck/monty/norwegian red cross bred.
Not sure how Trewithen contract works but i suggested he might be better to start May/June just as the negative seasonality is out the way. nothing worse i'd imagine than starting and getting hammered to death on minus pppence then hit the ground running in July on.
Silly question assume milking twice day or is it 3Mainly my choice really , but I have a very understanding wife and kids
