Very busy driving power harrow atm.

Ive started putting out hay bales for wind/rain breaks, some of the cattle are using them, not that cold atm for cattle but nights are getting fresh.

Been at a 1500 acre dairy farm last few days, impressive feed pad, 4 wash down water towers with 27,000 litres in each. Got to see it one day going, cleans pad off extermely well, impressive.

Ant, I swear your place look more enticing every time I look in on this thread.

You mention the wind, would it ever be worth planting more trees on the place as wind break or would they likely just die in the dry? Just strikes me as so much open land in all directions some scenery to break it up might be beneficial in the long run? I could see myself happily power-harrowing into eternity there mind, lovely scenery and soil.

Yes i have tree plantations planned starting next autumn, there is alot of trees in my area, ill grab some pics from the lookout today.

Theres some proper nice dirt in area, my place is nice once renovated, will pic today.

We dont often get that dry, so trees survive no worries, large ones as well, its a beautiful area and i love living here.

Weve had 25mm rain and farm is greened up and i have feed.

The power smudge worked very well, good for heavily pugged ground.

Before and after pic.

Started building central feed pad today, for two hay rings that i can direct cattle to 4 paddocks, if i put in a igloo shelter this is where it will go.

Some various farm pics from today.
