We had a grant but returned the grant unused. Mixing under a cover on a lagoon is almost impossible. H&S risk to employer would also be massive risk. Methane gas kills very quickly. Painless!!! As a result the cover would render itself useless due to crust deposits building up.

totally agree that mixing under covers can be a challenge and that H&S must ALWAYS be top of the bill. However, there are safe practical methods out there for mixing. The image above is part of a mixing system under construction, that lies under the covers and jets slurry/digestate aground under the cover. There are other methods available.
