To check if it is feed or twine: stop the baler with a full bale in the chamber. Grab both strings and pull up. If one is very slack then the twine tension plate (where the string leaves the box) may be worn or need adjusting. If the strings are fairly even then you might need to adjust the position /angle of the packer tines nearest the chamber. Make small adjustments at a time. Really when fiddling with the the packer tines you could do with turning over the baler slowly by hand to ensure no contact sport.

We had a 376 here from new, it never made a square bale, dealer even got newholland engineers to come look at it, they couldn't fix it, It wouldn't make a tight bale that a normal human being could lift either, was glad to see the back of it.

Funny you should say that. It reminds years ago of a local farmer contractor asking which baler we had. I said NH to which he looked sideways at me and said "NH will bale every shape except straight!"
