Anybody got any idea how many long a fill of the auto greaser on a bb960 should last (how many bales) I've taken a pipe off the bottom and it does dispense grease but uses no where near the amount the previous bb940 used.

At a very rough guide I recon ours used 1cartrige per 500 ish bales but it was 6 string so a couple more knitters to grease. Have you set how you want it to grease in the computer

not adjusted computer setting from how it arrived, trying to work out if last baler was using too much or this one not enough, i have been greasing manually on the grease banks to top up, new baler is 6 string last one 4

I'd use a couple of cartridges per 300 bales on our hesston. All manual greasing. Grease the packer fingers every couple of hours. Pipes kept coming off on auto lube.

Oh yes sorry was thinking it was 80x90 but they changed the numbers when they changed to the rounded panels ours was a bb9070 which was 120x70. You could change if it greased all the time the pto was in gear or only if the stuffer was tripping I think that could make a fair difference

Sorry for changing the subject but I’ve got a BB960 baler and the load cone doesn’t display any load. Diagnostics show voltage and everything but wouldn’t display and load. Any ideas??

Are you running in”Auto” ?.
If so I have same problem on BB950 !, I haven’t really had chance to sort it out yet.
Switched in to “manual” so I could get on !.

Yes I’m running on auto. I can switch to manual as well but still don’t know where to set it at if I don’t know my load.

Slightly different to my issue then as in manual the load cone worked as it should !, I’ve baled with it today and switched back to auto and mines sorted itself out and now works in both modes.

No in the 9 years and 22000 bales I’ve done with it, I’ve only ever broke 1 knotter shearbolt.
The stuffer shouldn’t really brake the flywheel shearbolt, it has its own shearbolt which should go first.

when the stuffer cycles it gives such a shock that the flywheel shear bolt snaps. Can you hear your stuffer cycle in the cab of your tractor??

Have you taken any land out of production from last autumn?
