I just sold mine and wish I hadn’t. Great baler, although sometimes not the strongest around the door pivot it always made a nice bale and was relatively quick.

Generally a decent enough baler. Not the heaviest of build so check all chains and sprockets carefully for signs of wear. All bearings are externally greasable which is good as well and net wrap system works a treat.

Only real issue was the rotor is a bit small and too far back. In some straw crops (mainly smashed up rotary wheat straw) forward progress can be steady. This is because the crop is picked up but can “stall” before the rotor gets hold of it. The only solution is to go slower.

In barley straw, hay and silage they will keep up with anything comparable from that era.

So if looked after and not abused would be a decent enough baler we only run straw walker combines so most of the time hopefully wouldn't be too much of an issue is there any other balers worth a look at in the up to 5k mark not a deere fan been there done that

Yes there not a bad baler. Not sure what else to suggest in that price bracket to be honest.

I do know of a 7060 which is the later version for sale as well. It’s got a fairly low bale count but is a bit over your budget contact @mph04 for more details.

I bought one this year replaced a 640, makes great bale. The rotor works well in haylage anyway.
Mines a 640 that would potentially be getting replaced is it much faster than the old 640 mines been a cracking baler just showing it's age now and has a few gremlins
