Take the long panel off where the main switch bank is for your throttle control/unloading arm etc. Wiring in there is usually to blame, it happened to me in the middle of harvest once - screen went blank and was traced to a bad connection in that loom.

Thanks for the tip, I'll have a root round in there and see can I find any loose or dodgy connections

Isnt one of the wires a fibre optic, oldest ones were, undo and refit usually worked.
There is also a coin battery in it to remember stuff, but should still work on power up.

That coil battery is usually close the problem. Once get corroded spread electrolyte kill backlight then rest of circuit.
Most situation I can fix it but do leave for last moment. Longer you wait more damage will be made. And some parts already are obsolete.

Got a new to me CX860. Only used it 4 days but screen has definitely become more “inky”
More noticeable at night but would say it is definitely getting worse. Does this sound like coil battery Issue?

Been getting plagued with fault messages saying fan speed slow, left and right elevator slow but only when lifting & lowering header at ends. Also sometimes cutting drive to everything when I lower header and says steps are lowered.
Latest is upper sieve, and also lower sieve motor lines disconnected. Also said something about ground speed sensor fault but disappeared before I had time to record exact wording.

Dealer checked wiring and plugs for corrosion but nothing obviously wrong and says not all faults it is throwing up are on same circuits which makes tracking things down harder.

Any chance it could be screen that’s at fault rather than individual wiring circuits?
