Does anyone know the width of a CX840 on 800 tyres and what are the like. What are the weak spots, how do they compare to the old TX, what is the standard header like, how are they on fuel and output, what is the sample like and any other info would be greatly appreciated.

I think on 800's your looking at 3.5m wide.
Have run cx combines for a few years and never had any real problems.
The unloading auger seal can go letting water into gearbox which then needs new bearings, unscrew drain plug and see what comes out!

We have a Cx 820 on 800's and its easily 3.5 m wide, will measure it when I'm at the yard again, lovely quiet combine to drive, header is fine auto levelling works well and can shave the floor well in flat crops, I find it likes rape and wheat but not so good in barley, in a good crop of barley 3k will be the limit or it throws it over the sieves, although better this year with the barley weighing well, had it three years now and a few minor niggles but nothing major, happy with ours good combine.

With the CX as above, the limiting factor is wet barley...we often did mods by putting a rice kit/tough straw kit on the rotary separator, modding it so it would close to 50 mm instead of 80 mm and putting fish backs on the straw walkers...as above though, brilliant combine, well made, self levelling is excellent, only thing is that the 8000 range with a vari feed is a step on again.
