New Holland T6140

What are these like?
Never had New Hollands before! Looking at one with the 16/16 gearbox. It will be pulling a 4rev plough, 3 leg flatlift, 9 ton rear discharge spreader and might sometimes have to go on 3m combi. Will the boost be working when ploughing and flatlifting?
Ideally, we would have liked a few more gears, a bit more power and maybe not a New Holland!!
But the price is tempting!!

I think you should be doing more of a demo than a drive down the road. Alot of money to part with without using the machine for a few days at least.
Yes, normally we would have, but this tractor is in stock and once its gone, they'll be all the new range.
Did have a T6 on demo couple of years ago but it had the 17speed gearbox

same gearbox just an extra gear will manage all jobs listed ok would imagine the flatlift would be the most challenging needs weight well out the front for combination drill good luck

We just got new one couple of month ago very impressed so far great steering lock good pulling tractor we put a quickie q 46 loader on it to it did 180 hrs to its first fill of ad blue. We went for the electric comand gearbox with auto option find the auto extremely handy . Very quite cab

Good luck with a 4 furrow reservable on a proper cumbrian hill theyre not 140hp even with the boost feel abit to light wheels will scrat on but is on 600s which proberly doesnt help.. and gear box alone whines enough to make you go mad

And the one i use as soon as you put the muckspreader bed on instantly feels like its lost 30hp boost lights still on and everything but tractor feels like its struggleing and dies down on not so steep banks until i knock bed off ?!!!

I think the blue T4As have all but run out, there are a few more red ones in stock I think,Maxxum 110 would be the red equivalent of the T140.Not sure that all the Case ones have boost tho.

Contractor here in NI has one and from what I know he has real good things to say about it, does a lot of work for him, plus it's real tidy looking with Xeobibs on. It's is loader tractor and he's a baling contractor so does a lot of work carting bales and also does a lot of mowing
