New Holland TM165 hydraulic pump sucking air

Hi all,
Greetings from New Zealand! I have a TM165 with 9500hrs and it has a few issues, one of which is when facing uphill on slopes around 25 degrees and more, the hydraulic pump starts sucking air, affecting steering, loader, 3pt hitch etc. Trans oil level is fine, and makes little difference if it is low or not. Hydraulic pump performance is absolutely fine when on flat ground. Can anyone assist with any ideas on what may be causing this? Thanks in advance, Glenn

This. Ours is a sod, if you don't give it a part turn with a strap it will draw air. If you don't get it right enough and it starts to draw air we have to replace the filter. It's always been like this, the TM155s are no bother
Really? And it only draws air when facing up a slope? Mine has no issues when on flat ground or when facing down hill

We had the very same problem and it turned out to be a faulty pressure switch and the pump drew air through it,a new switch and it was grand

We hit the switch while opening a pipe ,its directly on top of hyd pump only 1 wire afaik ,does your tract improve when u rev it up,we burnt out the b pack in the trans by not fixing it in time
Well funny you say that because the E pack burnt out not long after this started happening
