Our TM165 had the same problem a few weeks ago. After the (young!) NH fitter had removed all of the trim in the cab and investigated all sorts of electrical matters, it turned out to be a sensor in the gearbox. £50-ish new sensor, and all OK again.

U24 i believe is it not recognising what gear its in, high/low box 4th to 5th.
Try moving the gear lever a few times. Is it registering a gear on the dash?
Take the mat out and theres a plate in the floor which takes you to the top of the gearbox, check the connections there

TM and TS are two different boxes, TMs will have potentiometers on side of transmission housing. The TS will have status switches on top of the box to tell it which gear is selected. The TSs will usually grind into gear when syncros are worn, TMs won’t as they just travel to far and knacker the potentiometers.

Get the mat and floor up for a look as the top switches first.

You need to check the tractor is charging first, also check to see if you have PTO, if these are ok then move onto the next step, remove the cab floor matt and black inspection cover in the cab floor and see if the cables have broken on the shroud, also When you put your foot on the clutch does the HYD pressure light come on ??

Dear Sirs, receive a warm greeting from someone new into the forum. I have a 2001, TM165, range comand transmission that is recently presenting a problem. Being working well, it suddenly becomes neutral and does not move forward or backward. The fault code that appears is 77. I have to turn off it for 1 to 1.5 hours to make it work again well. The first time it happened, we realized that because of a solenoid valve that goes over the gearbox, oil was coming out, so it was changed to a new one, however the problem persists, but not constantly but sporadically. If someone had the same problem and solved it, I would appreciate sharing this experience.
Kind regards
