I would really hope not - you can't run a business and make decisions when they can change their mind at a moments notice like that

It's too late to plant cash crops and I have a SFI pollinators eeed on farm bough and paid for ready to drill very soon

there will be farms that have made staff redundant or had farm sales, sign agreemnets with contractors and made equipment purchase decisions based on the agreements they have signed

I cant see how they have any choice but to honour existing agreement, things could get legal even ??
But they constantly change their minds and some of us have disagreed with them from DAY 1... IT IS A MESS

25% total, between all six options?
Good thing if it prevents The Gentry offing tenants in favour of schemes, I'd say..
They have obviously been reading the comments on here saying "Fk feeding the Nation; Sfi, here I come".
Yep... they watch TFF....

33% of my productive area is out but the way they ahve built the sfi years even that isn't reflected in the agreement year where is 66%

I await more clarification but this really doesn't seem very well thought out at all and not enough detail given alongside a headline announcement
THE DETAIL IS COMING IN 2024

To those that believe that DEFRA will have to honour legal agreements or face legal action, who can afford the legal fees necessary to fight a claim, particularly when civil servants are using the bottomless pit that is taxpayers money, so your money, to fight you?
But then how does that leave the requirements of what u have to achieve?

My agreement would be severely affect, but I haven't spent a penny yet.

They cannot do this retrospectively. Can they?
not without lawsuits you'd think!

Lawsuits if they make options available to some and not others?

The idiots only had 1 finite metric, their budget.
They gave themselves no means of controlling the value of claims OR amount claimed.
It's sheer incompetence.
