Who buys Jersey Royals anyway? The most tasteless potatoes I've ever had, with very tough skins. Horrible things. Give me a nice Charlotte or Galante any day.
Can't imagine earlies will be all that early this year....

Happen to be I went to school there and later played for the rugby team back in the day, so can’t agree with you! Riverlea also had a sales depot there for many years, making Riverlea one of the most successful firms in Wales. Now it’s just a service centre apparently.

The amount of chemicals they must use to keep fields in continuous potatoes doesn't bear thinking about

I'd rather they got on and sold them early, If we are lucky and have something mid May then easy to sell against there stuff which is passed it/big/ugly.

Probably not much in the way of chemicals used as they are all first earlies, lifted before PCN becomes a problem, from my very basic understanding of the Jersey crop.
