Our new Holland T5 which is the equivalent of a vestrum I think, has a shocking turning circle compared to the T7, which has an amazing lock on it. Very strange.
Do you think it's the short but wide bonnet covering all the latest emission stuff that restricts steering lock!?

I have one identical to that as back up, very good rake, leaves a clean job at reasonable speed.

Good to hear. Any tips to set it up/get the best out of it?

Got it linked up and tested it on turf s d have the tunes just sweeping the tops of the grass.

What PTO speed you run it at?

We run in 540 but not many revs, 12 to 1300, probably eco speed if you have it, don,t forget to unlock the head stock when working, that,s about it really, you want the tines not to aggressive when working.

Do you just drive over existing grass and stitch it in that way?
Yes in theory. Work up a little bit of tilth whilst applying the seed. Have done it before (with a contractors machine) with good success with clover seed. Not so much with grass seed when overseeding into exisiting grass. Will also be using the machine for drilling all my new grass leys, catch crops and stewardship mixtures into ploughed/min tilled ground

A new rear tyre for your new tractor? Or the tyre at the front of the truck that won’t fit anything you have?! :ROFLMAO:
The last owner of the tractor spiked one of the rear tyre sidewalls, so bought a new pair and only replaced one tyre (since the other one was still at 80%). When I went to view the tractor, I saw the mismatched tyres, saw the new tyre leaning up against the shed wall and insisted that it come home with me (it's the tyre strapped to the front of the truck deck).

It also fits one of my other tractors.

Not really a new toy but rather a short term
toy while my hilux is in for repair after being side swiped on the motorway couple months ago.

Insurance company offered my a Toyota aygo which I moaned about and said I needed something that can tow 3.5t. This dropped off earlier after being driven 300miles to get to me.

Be interesting to compare the two.

Having owned both I would agree that the Ranger is a much better truck to drive and tow with. If your Toyota is the 2.4 then that Ranger would eat it for breakfast, especially towing. I still rate it having driven a 2.8 Hilux for a month.
The downside is the Ford dealer locally, woeful after sales service. Be interesting to see what you think.

Current hilux is 4 years old and irs been a very good truck. Zero issues. Done 90k miles.

But yes towing is nots strong point. It struggles with a full box of sheep on two decks.

Will try this ford on the box if I get time. Just done 25miles up the M5 with a small 8x5 trailer on back with ride on mower and truck did not know it was there. Nice driving position but need to tweak the info centre to get it how I’d like.
