This turned up today; didn’t fancy cutting a load of sfi with a verge mower. She (seems to be) an animal!

What’s the story with the 8000 series in the background 😍
She's my cultivations tractor, 8400. Pretty certain it was delivered here brand new when we used to store Michael Lawrence's new arrivals for him, it was sold new to Compton Beauchamp Estates and ended up with Michael Potter outside Wantage where it was used on the clamp and a 6m powerharrow. Never been 20 miles from the farm here. Bloody lovely tractor.

Thank you for the reply, yes is a thing of beauty, those 8000’s are almost as good as it will ever be for tractor design and longevity.
That new exhaust stack would not of been cheap.

I thought Michael Potter bought his 8400 from Lonsdale estate when he got the contract farming agreement?

How dare you pick me up on being wrong!! You're absolutely right, I went through this with Jamie at Hunts who used to be workshop manager at Lawrence's before the franchise was pulled, initially he thought it went to Compton Beauchamp but later established it was Lonsdale that bought it. Should have bought Michael's 8320? too really.

Thats not a serious name?! I can imagine it now, a nun knocks on a persons door in the pouring rain & asks if she can have a lift as her car has just broken down…*man goes to get his keys* “of course I’ll give you a lift, just step inside out of the rain a minute while I get my wang out” 😳😬
Yangwang in english means “looking up” , ‘admire’
So she might like it ☺️🤣

There one of them on the campsite, looks more like a jeep.
Spoken to the gentleman, he really likes it, he swapped in a 2016 Nissan patrol for it
He said it was more comfortable and very capable 4x4. But could only tow 2000 kg.
There's one at the local dealers must go and have a decent look at it.
As far as I can tell less than half the price of a LandRover with a 7 year warranty, towing doesn't matter to me.

Of course it's Chinese so it's very wrong to buy one and the Chinese government will use it to spy on you and take control of it while your driving to bring the country to its knees.
Might risk it though :nailbiting: (y)
